Celebrating Young Women - A Day for Mums and Daughters
(Ages 10 to 14yrs)
This is a fun, active and special day for mums and their daughters to connect. This is an opportunity for young women to prepare and celebrate their rights of passage and coming of age.
* Daughters who come on their own will be nurtured.
We gather as a learning circle and become a circle of friends. We enjoy games, traditional crafts, stories and creative expression. We learn practical living skills and how to be a good friend and strength the mother - daughter bond.
We explore authentic expression and emotional self-care. We talk about menstruation and the changes of puberty in the body. We learn that all our feelings are OK, including anger, impatience and boredom. We experience living completely in our bodies.
All of this cultivates self-esteem, self-confidence, and - what girls at this age are particularly hungry for - a feeling of being grounded on Mother Earth and lovingly held by something larger than themselves.
This event is for young women (age 10 to 14yrs) and their mothers. Girls are also welcome to come on their own.
Girls do not yet need to be menstruating.
As part of this event each mother and daughter couple or individual will have the opportunity to create a Moon Cycle Satchel to take home.
Moon Cycle Satchel includes:
- Make your own mood enhancer essential oil roll-on.
- A Note book and pen for Journaling
- 1 x Re-usable brightly coloured Sanitary Pads
- A Cycle tracking chart.
Please arrive 5 minutes early.
* Please wear warm comfortable clothes, socks, a cushion, blanket (optional), water.

Additional Daughters or Daughters on their own $100 each.
